Sarjan Charity Foundation of Hong Kong Spreads Cheer among Disabled

The SARJAN CHARITY FOUNDATION (SCF), lead by Rashminkant Donda, President of Sarjan Group of Hong Kong, has been instrumental in organizing various events to serve the disabled and help transform their lives. Associating with BMVSS (Jaipur foot), SCF has organized many camps in India, where more than 1000 artificial foot were fitted to people in need, to help them lead better lives.

During the past 8 years, more than 13 lakh patients have benefitted through SCF’s efforts. About 33000 major surgeries conducted by SWAMI SHREE NIRDOSHANAND HOSPITAL (Timbi Gujarat rural areas) where one of SCF’s camp was organized in the presence of Mr. B.L. Rajpara (the trustee of Nirdosanand Manavseva Hospital) and Mr. Prakash Bhandari (BMSVV- Jaipur Foot) including many social workers. The SCF’s “Artificial Limb Fitment Camps” are free of cost and the Foundation efforts are solely to see the satisfaction on the faces of the disabled people who strive to lead a normal and independent life.

Recently, the Y4D Foundation team, on behalf of the SCF, invited Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis to the annual event “Sarjan Annual Award Function 2019 & Charity Night” and briefed Hon. Chief Minister and Hon. Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta about SCF’s ambitious “Book for Purpose” initiative under which 250 libraries will be opened for most needy students. The Hon. Chief Minister appreciated Sarjan group efforts in elevating lives of underprivileged sections of society and promised all the support of the state government for social initiatives of Sarjan Group. The team officially launched “Book 4 Purpose” initiative by gifting book to Hon. Chief Minister and Hon. Chief Secretary.

Aiming to attract school-going children from rural areas to the books, Y4D Foundation in association with SCF, Hong Kong have opened libraries in Mamasaheb Mohal Vidyalaya, Shere, and New English School, Kolwan, Mulshi in Pune district. SCF and Y4D Foundation have a strong belief that youth can be empowered by reading various books and can do the SWOT analysis of his or her potential and can plan a blueprint of future or career according to their interest and dreams. Students and school teachers were very happy to receive sets of EduInfoTainment library for their school.

Every year SCF organizes “SARJAN ANNUAL AWARD FUNCTION” to honour members for their achievements and to establish new milestones in their charitable endeavor. Each edition of SAAF celebration was attended by many high ranking government officials of Hong Kong including Members of the Legislative Assembly of Hong Kong, Director of immigration, Home Affairs Minister of Hong Kong and high profile dignitaries from the social and corporate world including the representatives of Indo Chinese business community, representatives from American and Indian Embassy.

“Sarjan Group” is a non-profitable society registered under the society’s ordinance of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. A non-profitable organization blessed with dynamic young entrepreneurs, SCF conducts and mobilizes various activities/ events related to Indian culture, business, sports, country, and society. “SARJAN” means creation, which reflects SCF’s vision to celebrate precious life and have a significant contribution towards earth, environment, and humanity. The vision of the Group is to always show determination to bring changes in the life of people directly or indirectly associated with them.

The Group’s next initiative will be education and scholarship program for children of martyrs from Indian Armed Forces and Para-military Forces, which will be implemented through the active association of Y4D in India.
