ALROSA began preparation for the fish stocking season in an effort to protect the river populations of Yakutia. The corporate’s Chief Ecologist Polina Anisimova with colleagues has visited a fish manufacturing unit in the Chernyshevsk settlement (Yakutia) as a part of the 2020 fish stocking season.
From Might to September 2020, over four mln of larval fish and 65,000 of fry can be launched in Lena and Vilyui rivers, in addition to in Timir-Kyunde lake and Vilyui reservoir. This would be the largest launch since 2012 when ALROSA began cooperation with the Chernyshevsk fish manufacturing unit.
