United Arab Emirates Middle East’s flagship JGTD B2B jewellery, gemstones and technology, fair opens in Dubai, bringing thousands of trade professionals together at a pivotal moment – the final push to secure peak season orders and lock in 2027 inventory strategies.
Now in its fifth edition, Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai (JGTD) runs through Thursday at North Halls N21 and N23 of the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Expo City, gathering approximately 300 exhibitors representing 20+ countries and regions. The event is anticipated to attract trade buyers from 100+ markets, underscoring Dubai’s position as the region’s centre for jewellery trade, show organisers Informa Markets and Italian Exhibition Group SpA (IEG) announced.
The fair features dedicated country and regional pavilions representing major suppliers from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Thailand and Türkiye, each highlighting their unique strengths in the jewellery sector. Expert-led sessions run alongside the exhibition floor, offering buyers and sellers practical insights into where the market is moving – and why.
“Timing is everything and JGTD opens today as buyers face one of their most important sourcing windows of the year. With peak selling season approaching and 2027 planning in full swing, the case for attending JGTD is clear for wholesalers, distributors, chain stores and jewellery makers. The decisions made here will impact their businesses in the months ahead,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets.
Lau continued, “What makes this fifth edition particularly exciting is seeing how the industry keeps finding new ways to do business. Buyers are rethinking how they source, exhibitors are changing how they present and the conversations on the floor are focused on growth – not only for individual companies but for the trade as a whole. Through our partnership with the Italian Exhibition Group, the invaluable support from DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) and Dubai Jewellery Group (DJG), and the exceptional welcome we have received from Dubai, we have built a platform that creates tangible opportunities for growth. Together, we are committed to driving this sector forward.”
Marco Carniello, Chief Business Officer of Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), added: “We are pleased to contribute, together with Informa Markets and our local partners DMCC and DJG, to the development of Dubai as a strategic hub for the international jewellery trade. Built through a shared vision and the commitment of multiple stakeholders, this ecosystem has become a key point of reference for the jewellery industry in the UAE and beyond.
“We have continued to strengthen JGTD’s proposition, combining a strong sourcing offer across fine jewellery, diamonds, coloured gemstones and jewellery technology with insights into market developments, trends, retail and innovation. In a period of uncertainty and market volatility, this combination is more relevant than ever, providing businesses with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions, identify new opportunities and support the growth and competitiveness of the markets connected to Dubai.”
The excitement does not stop there. This year, the experience extends beyond JGTD itself. The fair is part of the second edition of Dubai Diamond Week (26 – 29 October), which opened yesterday with the seventh Dubai Diamond Conference organised by DMCC. It is a purposeful pairing that takes attendees from in-depth discussions on the future of diamonds straight to live commerce on the show floor.
Highlighting the city’s role as a hub for the global diamond trade, DMCC Executive Chairman and CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem said, “The second edition of Dubai Diamond Week brings together the strategic and commercial priorities of our industry. The Dubai Diamond Conference will focus on reigniting consumer demand for natural diamonds and unlocking new sources of value, while our programme of meetings and company showcases at Almas Tower and the Dubai Diamond Exchange will turn these discussions into concrete business opportunities.
“Alongside JGTD, the region’s leading international B2B jewellery exhibition, we are bringing the global industry together in Dubai to build partnerships, expand trade and shape the industry’s next phase of growth. I thank our partners and delegates for their commitment to that future.”
His remarks were echoed by DJG Chairman Tawhid Abdulla, who emphasised the importance of collaboration in responding to current market conditions. Abdulla noted that each edition of JGTD “reaffirms Dubai’s position as the City of Gold and a true meeting point for our global industry.”
“With highly volatile gold prices and other global and regional challenges to navigate, we recognise that our sector’s next phase of growth will not come from any one company or market working in isolation. It will come from collaboration by manufacturers, traders, retail players, gemstone sources and technology providers choosing to work together rather than compete alone. Platforms like JGTD make that possible, bringing our industry face to face with new suppliers, new buyers and new markets that would otherwise take years of individual effort to reach,” Abdulla said.
International Suppliers
JGTD’s show floor delivers thousands of collections spanning fine jewellery, diamonds, coloured gemstones and technology – each one positioned to meet the demands of today’s trade buyers.
Fine Jewellery
Taiwan’s Bipre Co Ltd arrives with statement pieces designed to stop traffic: An aquamarine and morganite bracelet in 18-karat gold and a Colombian emerald necklace with a combined weight exceeding 100 carats. For retailers focused on everyday luxury, Hong Kong’s RK Gems Co and H & R Jewellery Limited, alongside Singapore’s Taka Jewellery Pte Ltd, offer collections built for volume and repeat business.
Diamonds
Beyond finished jewellery, the diamond section brings depth and variety to the sourcing mix. Buyers will find parcels, layouts, matched pairs and individual stones from leading suppliers including Narola Diamonds Pvt Ltd, Paladiya Brothers, Shivam Jewels and Yondor Diamonds Ltd – all known for their extensive colourless and fancy colour diamond offerings.
Coloured Gemstones
The coloured gemstone offering is equally robust. Gemeasy FZCO presents a curated selection of Paraiba tourmalines sourced from Brazil and Mozambique, while Blue Gems Supplier introduces lagoon tourmalines alongside rubellites, morganites and the highly sought-after neon electric blue Paraiba tourmalines. Emerald Mines Co Ltd displays premium ruby, sapphire and emerald inventory, and RMC Gems HK Co highlights rubellite, Paraiba tourmaline and an expansive gemstone portfolio.
Technology & Machinery
Rounding out the sourcing experience, the technology pavilion reinforces JGTD’s position as a complete sourcing destination. Italy’s Faro Srl exhibits the Faro F1 and F35 CNC machines – precision equipment engineered for fine goldsmithing, from slabs and rings to bracelets. Fresissima brings “Made in Italy” solid carbide burs crafted for goldsmiths and stone setters, while Thailand’s SmartPro Instrument Co Ltd introduces testing and measuring tools designed specifically for the diamond, coloured gemstone and jewellery sectors.
