Severalmaz (part of ALROSA) suspends mining operations for three months

From July 1, 2026, the Severalmaz enterprise (part of ALROSA) has been suspended mining for a period of about 3 months. The decision was made in accordance with ALROSA’s strategy to maintain operational and financial sustainability and discipline in terms of effective management of diamond sales flows in the diamond market.

The temporary suspension will affect only the divisions of the enterprise engaged in mining and transportation of diamond-containing ore. Enrichment production will continue to work through the processing of stocks of rich ore, formed earlier.

After the suspension, Severalmaz plans to replenish the planned volume of stocks of diamond-containing ore reserves due to a smooth restoration of the rate of mining.

Optimization measures are not planned in terms of changes in the number of personnel.
