Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) comes online. The first ever digital edition, JGA Virtual, of Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong is scheduled to be organized between June 17 and July 7 alongside JGA’s physical show of June 24-27 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The global jewellery community is coming together in these events digitally for three weeks of product discovery, inspiration and networking. JGA Virtual is the synergy-enhancing digital component of JGA’s physical show.
“JGA Virtual is bringing Asia’s mid-year fine jewellery event to a global audience. By integrating the reach of digital with the power of face-to-face engagements through JGA’s in-person show in Hong Kong, we are offering buyers and sellers a powerful platform that could help them speed up their business recovery,” said David Bondi, Senior Vice President of Informa Markets in Asia.
In these challenging times, JGA Virtual has made the wholesale sourcing experience possible and simple for professional buyers and suppliers who cannot travel to Hong Kong for the physical fair.
“This digital resource gives the trade access to an exclusive marketplace consisting of suppliers who are among the best in their respective fields, the luxury to explore and discover suppliers and their latest product introductions at their own pace using our filtering capabilities, and the convenience to hold one-on-one video meetings with exhibitors from anywhere,” Bondi continued.
For sellers, JGA Virtual literally puts the whole jewellery-buying community within their reach. JGA Virtual offers professional buyers access to new products from anywhere in the world. This is an exclusive trade-only sourcing platform for jewellery, gemstones and manufacturing equipment. The user-friendly virtual platform comes with tools for enhanced business matchmaking such as online showrooms, product/supplier search functions and networking features such as video conferencing and live chats.
Aptly heralding the launch of JGA Virtual is a webinar on “lab-grown diamonds: Rising Stars of the Jewellery Industry,” organised in partnership with Smiling Rocks and featuring a stellar panel of speakers comprising Marty Hurwitz, CEO and Founder of THE MVEye; Zulu Ghevriya, CEO and Co-Founder of Smiling Rocks, and Diana Verde Nieto, Co-Founder and CEO of Positive Luxury. More than 500 trade professionals pre-registered to attend.
Interestingly, extraordinary times require extraordinary solutions. While the whole world is living through an intense time of change, remember that to us, nothing is more important than making our sourcing experiences work as hard as possible to deliver the results that our community needs,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery.
“For exhibitors, this translates to connecting with quality buyers, securing business opportunities and being inspired to rethink a new vision for their business. For buyers, it is all about gaining access to the very best products and services that the industry has to offer within the comfort of their own homes or offices.”
The virtual fair also serves as a preview of Informa Markets Jewellery’s enhanced digital platform, JewelleryNet. Created for the jewellery community, the platform aims to facilitate connections, foster business matching opportunities, and deliver industry knowledge and market intelligence. Complementing the group’s jewellery shows around the world, the new JewelleryNet will debut this fall.
