Bharat Diamond Week (BDW) 3rd Edition Concluded With Overwhelming Response

Bharat Diamond Week (BDW) 3rd Edition Exhibitors were less in comparison to the earlier editions, but the number of buyers was more. Both the buyers & sellers were happy with the 3rd edition of BDW.

Some of the Exhibitors also approached the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) committee and requested for 2 shows in a year. However, the BDB committee has to decide. The next BDW edition 4th will be held on

26th– 28th October 2020 was announced by Mr. Anoop Mehta. The opening ceremony of the 3rd edition of BDW was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr. Evgeny Agureev, Deputy CEO of Alrosa & Guest of Honor, Mr. Nanhai Yan Vice President Shanghai Diamond Exchange who had come with 30 delegates.

Gujarat Chief Minister Honorable Shri Vijay Rupani visited the BDW exhibition and appreciated the BDW committee for the efforts to support the small & medium traders of the industry. Other VIP guests that visited the exhibition wereMr. ParshottamRupalaUnion Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare &Chief Commissioner of Customs Mr. Bani Bhattacharya.

A Gala Dinner was organized by Bharat Diamond Week, which was sponsored by Diamond India Limited (DIL). It was a night of networking and having an insight into the industry and making connections for a better future and business endeavor.

Tour of 35 Buyers delegates was organized to SEEPZ a jewelry park and an Export Zone. All delegates were welcomed by Mr. CPS Chauhan the Joint Development Commissioner of Zone.Mr. Chauhan also an expert of diamonds and Jewellery business briefed the delegates on SEEPZ and welcomed all to be part of seepz factories. The team of Delegates was headed by Mr. Nanhai Yan  Vice President of Shanghai Diamond Exchange& had visited Mohit Diamonds & Nuance Jewel (LaxmiDiamond Group) factories in SEEPZ.

For the first time ever, a networking event was organized for young diamantaires meet and greet for industry members to network, make connections and unwind after a hard day’s work at the Bharat Diamond Week. Keeping in mind the current lull the entire diamond industry is facing, it was a great opportunity for Gen X to network in an informal, relaxed setting amid the party. Held at Drinkery 51 at Bandra Kurla Complex, the event was sponsored by Bharat Diamond Week and Shree Ramkrishna Exports along with International Gemological Institute and
