Trade Highlights from Day 1

After concluding a globetrotting pre-show promotional roadshow, VOD DIJS organisers were proud to host buyers from 13 countries for the massively popular Hosted Buyers Programme. The Hosted Buyers Programme pairs top-brand local and international retailers and department stores with wholesalers and event exhibitors, to ensure access to unique collections, a competitive advantage, and the chance to build new relationships in the industry. The list of confirmed hosted buyers in attendance at yesterday’s show comprised prominent retailers and decision-makers from around the world, all of whom will return today, looking at even more healthy buying opportunities.

On top of a spectacular opening ceremony, VOD DIJS’ first day also featured The Middle East Jewellery Designers’ Forum 2019. The third edition of the event saw VOD DIJS team up with The New Jeweller Group for the third time. Eminent industry speakers were on hand to present, debate and speak on various subjects concerning the Middle East’s gem and jewellery sector, including future trends. Participants included retailers, manufacturers, designers, educators, students, association heads, and other key personalities from the region’s jewellery industry.
