Discover 3,300+ exhibitors, source the newest collections and learn from experts at the biggest B2B fine jewellery fair in the world
From the top-tier names in diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls to prestigious luxury jewellery ateliers, a dynamic lineup of 3,300+ exhibitors from 40+ countries and regions is presenting their newest and finest collections at the No. 1 B2B fine jewellery marketplace globally – Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) – starting today, fair organiser Informa Markets Jewellery announced.
Set in the fastest-growing region in the world and happening during the most pivotal month in the buying calendar, the “One Fair, Two Venues” B2B fair unfolds at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), where almost every imaginable gemstone is on offer until Friday, 20 September. From 18 to 22 September, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) section of the show will be in full swing, providing buyers access to a diverse selection of finished jewellery, packaging and technology solutions. Additionally, SEASONS | Autumn Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair is running in parallel with JGW from 18 to 22 September. Packed with energy and creativity, the show’s Fall edition in Hall 5BC of the HKCEC is renowned as Asia’s premier wholesale sourcing hub for fashion-forward collections and niche products tailored for the Spring/Summer seasons of 2025 and beyond.
“The sheer scale of the event may seem overwhelming – imagine navigating 3,300+ exhibitors from 40+ countries and regions across two venues, alongside a bustling events programme! However, it is this very magnitude and diversity that makes JGW more than just a trade show but an experience. Our audience recognises that skipping JGW means missing a valuable buying opportunity,” said Margaret Ma Connolly, President & CEO of Informa Markets in Asia.
“Moreover, it has become our tradition to introduce something new and exciting in each edition of the fair, and this time, we have made the 2024 show truly memorable with two key highlights: Sustainability and Pearls.”
Sustainability Awards 2024 by JWA
JGW is advancing the sustainability conversation by honouring the winners of the Sustainability Awards 2024 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards) on 18 September at the Grand Foyer of the HKCEC. Organised by Informa Markets Jewellery, the Awards programme celebrates outstanding sustainability efforts of companies in the fine jewellery, gemstone and related industries. It encompasses five distinct categories, namely, Environmental Stewardship, Social Empowerment, Manufacturing Innovation, Community Engagement and Sustainability Leadership.
Strengthening the discourse is the Sustainability Heroes Panel Series, hosting conversations on “Jewels Of A Sustainable Future” on 17 September at The Stage in Hall 9 of the AWE, and “From Source To Showcase: Inspiring Change In The Jewellery Industry” on 18 September at the Grand Foyer of the HKCEC. The expert panels feature Award Recipients exclusively.
“One critical lesson we have learned from our Sustainability Heroes is that while individual actions matter, real change requires a collective effort. We must do more. We must be more,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery. “We hope that by shining the spotlight on these amazing companies at JGW, we will all be inspired to prioritise sustainability in all aspects of our businesses.”
Year of the Pearl: Orient Odyssey
JGW is likewise paying homage to the pearl with the exhibit, “Orient Odyssey: From Shell To Market – The Fascinating Life Of Pearls.” The pearl showcase, located at Booth 3M260 in the HKCEC, is a project of Informa’s Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community in partnership with The AUTORE Group, Edison Pearls, Hatta New World Co Ltd, Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association (JPEA), Japan Pearl Promotion Society (JPPS), Jewelmer, Paspaley Pearling Company, Professional Association of Pearls Zhejiang, Rio Pearl, Tahitian Pearl Association Hong Kong (TPAHK) and Zhanjiang Pearl Association, among others. Complementing Orient Odyssey are panel discussions on “Beyond Precious: Pearl Farming And Environmental Stewardship” on 17 September at AWE’s The Stage and a session on “The Power Of Pearls: Sustainable Gems For A New Generation” on 18 September at the Grand Foyer of the HKCEC. The sessions feature representatives from the prestigious luxury pearl jewellery brand Mikimoto and pearl powerhouses Paspaley, Autore, Jewelmer and Edison Pearls.
