De Beers’ fifth sales cycle churns provisional $575 million in revenues. De Beers Group recorded rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auction Sales) worth provisional $575 million, in its fifth sales cycle of 2018. This was higher compared to the actual rough diamond sales in cycle four which amounted to $554 million. It also stood out to be higher than the actual revenues clocked in the fifth sales cycle of 2017 which were worth $541 million.

According to Bruce Cleaver, CEO, De Beers Group, “Sentiment in the diamond industry’s midstream is positive following the JCK Las Vegas trade show at the start of the month, and we continued to see good demand for our rough diamonds across the product range.”
