DMCC has welcomed Lumex to the expanding community of laboratory-grown diamond businesses within the Free Zone. DMCC positioning Dubai as a global hub for both natural and lab-grown diamond trade. Lumex is the latest laboratory-grown diamond business to set its foot in Dubai to operate in this region. DMCC attracts, facilitates, and promotes diamond trade to and through Dubai. DMCC Committed to Growing laboratory-grown Diamonds Sector in Dubai
In 2004, DMCC launched the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE). It welcomed over 1000 companies since its inception. In 2019, DMCC held the first-ever laboratory-grown diamond tender at the DDE with over 50,000 carats of laboratory-grown diamonds on offer. DMCC is ensuring disclosure, detection, and differentiation process while committing to growing laboratory-grown diamonds sector in Dubai. Furthermore, its providing full disclosure of laboratory-grown products and correct use of current approved nomenclature wherein Arabic is also available. Currently, Emirate is among the top three natural diamond trading hubs in the world.
